Barbanson Biotech

Welcome to Barbanson Biotech, your starting point for custom data analysis, software development and data visualization.

We have extensive experience with sequencing data analysis and building software for helping you understand your data and draw conclusive results for your next steps. No matter if you are looking for developing a pipeline or a visualization that will make your research stand out.

Our past and current projects with biotech companies and academics include:

  • Pipeline development
  • Software development
  • Interactive data visualization
  • Data visualization (e.g. academic papers)
  • Copy number analysis in bulk and single cells
  • Variant calling in bulk and single cells
  • Lineage Inference
  • Cell-free DNA analysis
  • Cell-free fetal DNA analysis
  • Epigenetic data analysis in bulk and single cells (e.g. accessibility, nucleosome spacing, DNA-methylation, histone-modifications, DNA binding proteins)
  • Transcriptomics analysis in bulk and single cells

Single cell multi-omics experience

Integration of measurements from the same cell:
  • DNA and transcriptome
  • DNA methylation and transcriptome
  • RNA and FACS properties
  • DNA and lineage tracing (both lentiviral and CRISPR based protocols)
  • Transcriptome and chromatin accessibility
  • Transcriptome, histone modifications and FACS properties
  • DNA methylation, histone modifications and FACS properties
  • DNA binding proteins and transcriptome
  • Newly synthesised RNA and total RNA
Integration of measurements not derived from the same cell:
  • Transcriptome, chromatin accessibility, ChIP
  • Bulk and single cell lineage tracing

What can you expect from us ?
First, we will have a free of charge introductory meeting where we will gain understanding of your questions, goals and available data. You will then receive an offer specifying our plans, deliverables, costs and delivery time. Upon acceptance of the offer and data transfer we are implementing the plans. After transfer of the deliverables we will have a concluding meeting to answer questions and discuss possible next steps.

About us

Buys de Barbanson
Founder of Barbanson Biotech
Prior to starting Barbanson Biotech, I studied bioinformatics in Groningen and Delft/Leiden and completed my PhD in the group of Alexander van Oudenaarden. During my doctorate I developed the open-source python package SingleCellMultiOmics which you can freely use for single cell sequencing analysis.

Maria Florescu
Bioinformatics Consultant
Prior to working at Barbanson Biotech, I studied molecular and computational biology at the University of Basel in Switzerland. I completed my PhD in the group of Alexander van Oudenaarden where I have gained experience in CRISPR systems and (epi)genetics analysis.
